Meeting called to order.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

·        Minutes from 5/7/08 meeting were posted on website and approved.

TREASURER’S REPORT

·        New budget begins July 1, 2008

·        Skip still has info. on kids accounts

·        Outstanding Checks that have not been cashed:

o       2 for John Rackham - $300 (he did not want to get paid for helping out in 2006).  It was approved that these 2 checks can be voided.

o       2^nd check is for Brendan Harrigan for his award given at the Band Banquet - $100 – still waiting for him to cash

Bills to be Paid

·        $75 - Registration for Indoor Show

·        $45 to Debbie for Cookie tray sent to Aaron’s

DIRECTOR’S REPORT

·        Full Schedule for ‘08 Season is posted on the website

·        Captains announced – they will be given more responsibility this year

·        The administration approved a night practice, once a week, under the lights.  There will not be an afternoon practice so kids can go to help class, activities, etc.

·        Marching band about the same size as last year, still have a few open spots that need to be filled

·        Championships will be held 2^nd weekend in Nov. at Springford High School.  Turf field, large enough

·        USSBA Nat’l Championships 11/5-7 in Annapolis.  Will probably leave Thursday then to TOB Championships return home on Sunday.  Trying to keep cost as low as possible.  Some fees won’t need to be included as in previous years so it should help.

·        Home Show - Online registration not up and running yet but still have 7 groups already committed

·        School budget still not approved but marching band budget was ok’d with a $100 increase.  Will cover all that was asked for.

·        We were informed that the new gate in the stadium will not happen this year.  We will have to work around it.

·        Still have not heard anything about being able to use the concession stand as a fundraiser

·        Need to order some new uniforms

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Fundraising

·        Debbie presented tentative list and dates of fundraisers – made a few changes, will be posted online

·        Captains will help with keeping track of who sold what and will do an award at end of year.

By-Laws

·        Will email old version and new version to all parents

Dragon Run

·        Meeting at Lauren’s house June 30^th, 6 pm

Parent Survey

·        Only 23 responses – will have hard copies for parents to fill out at mandatory parent meeting 8/18

New Business

·        Talked about hiring someone to update the web page so Joe won’t have to do it.  Lauren is speaking to Jennifer Lusch to get a price.
