DIRECTOR’S REPORT

Band Camp - Dates are posted on website
·
Indoor Percussion – Joe sent letter to the
administration telling them of the success for the ensemble’s first year and
the fact that they one the first annual sportsmanship award

School Budget – still not approved, must be
completed by 5/20
·
Football Field Gate – school is looking into,
still waiting for response
·
Concession – Still waiting to hear whether we are
able to run the stand during football game(s) to raise funds for boosters.
2008
Trips
·
We were accepted to participate in USSBA National
Championships at the Navy-Marine Corp Stadium in November.
·
Will then return back for TOB Championships in
Delaware
·
Indoor Percussion and Jazz Band will take their
trip to Wildwood in the spring
·
Working on approval from school for trips

COMMITTEE
REPORTS
Fundraising
·
Jeannine is coordinating the Wawa Hoagie coupons
– will start handing out at practice in June – Check needs to be cut to pay
for coupons upfront – approved.
·
Was agreed that all the profits from the shows will
go to the Boosters and we will not be giving our student credits.
Too hard to keep track of and there will be plenty of opportunities for
kids to fundraise towards their trip. They
will be able to get credits if they sell ads for the ad book.
By-Laws
·
2nd reading of the by-laws changes
(adding position of Corresponding Secretary and Reimbursement policy for drum
major and guard captains) were read and accepted
Misc.
·
Reimbursements – we had agreed previously to
reimburse 2007 drum major and color guard captains for their fees for Camp at
West Chester. Skip will cut the
check and distribute.
·
Corresponding – and email will go out asking for
nominations for Corresponding Secretary. If
we receive none we will have to recruit someone to fill this role.
Nate’s
Garden
·
Cindy purchased bench for the Garden and was
reimbursed.
Parent
Survey
·
Jeannine is putting together a brief survey to the
parents to get feedback on how they perceive how we do fundraising, their
willingness to participate and volunteer and what could we be doing better.
Jeannine is looking for a few more questions to add to the survey.
Joe will email to the parents as soon as it is complete.
