Report Accepted

·        No bills to be paid

·        We are paying for 2 positions:  Percussion & Guard Instructors = $6,000

·        Taking the budget off the website

·        Scrip cards are available, see Barbara for forms

Director’s Report

·        Kids are progressing well

·        Rehearsals will be 2:30-5:30 pm – Since there is no longer a 5:30 bus kids will have to carpool it home

·        For Friday’s football game, kids will practice until 4 then can stay or return by 5:00 to heave for Highland

·        Home Show – currently have 10 bands

·        During Football games kids will have 3^rd quarter to be out of the stands to get something to eat/drink

·        During games they will be playing the Alma Mater

·        Beef and Beer/Social will be 11/14/09 at Valley Caterers in Woodbury

·        Parents are permitted to call Mrs. Dalton directly, kids should not.

·        The gate has been installed!

·        Parents should purchase tickets from Mrs. Dalton.  The way TOB works is that we will receive the profit from the sale of the tickets

Dragon Run

·        Kids need to register

·        Need permission slip

·        Donations accepted, not required

·        Band will play for opening ceremonies

·        Stuff race bags 9/23 7-8 pm

Pit Crew

·        Mark needs help for Logistics for the Home Show. 

·        This will be his last year, will help with the transitioning

Nate’s Garden

Need someone to take over the care of the Garden.  Work needs to be done on it.

Tailgating

·        At times we need to feed the kids before leaving for competitions

·        We put money in the budget to pay for tailgating supplies

·        Need someone to Chair this committee and need volunteers

Concession Stand

·        Joyce , Sheba and Kathy running

·        Need volunteers for 9/18, 10/9 & Thanksgiving

·        Joyce & Sheba are training Kathy to take over food for next year

Home Show

·        Chairpersons are:

            Chrissy – Hospitality

            Sheba – Food

            Rose & Michelle – Advertising and Ad Book

            Lauren – Publicity

            Jill – Judges Room – Runners

·        Looking for volunteers to help all the above Chairs.

·        Parents are to donate 2 cases of water for show

Fundraising

·        Forms due back 9/16

·        Delivery in café. on the 30^th 5-7:30

Hershey’s Candy

·        Boxes being delivered 10/5/09

·        Profit $26 off each case ($13 for kids $13 for boosters)

·        We will sell some at the Home Show

WebSite

·        Kathy Rebechi has taken over updating the webpage

·        Looking to get updated pictures and information on there

Chaperones

Kim explained what the chaperones do:

·        accompany the band members to and from every event

·        make sure the students are safe and accounted for

·        help with uniforms and other issues that may arise with the students

·        must have signed agreement for chaperones and pit crew
